International Association for Processing of Materials and Fabrication of Products (IA-PMFP) is organising upcoming one-day workshop on “Opportunities and Challenges with Cybersecure Smart Manufacturing”, scheduled to be held at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, on 1 August 2026. PLMSS Trust is happy to support this workshop.

The workshop is being organized by IA-PMFP with the objective of bringing together experts from industry, academia, R&D organisations, and the defence sector to deliberate on emerging developments in Additive Manufacturing (AM), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Industry 4.0, and cyber security in digital manufacturing ecosystems.

The workshop will focus on the following key themes:

• AI/ML applications in Smart Manufacturing
• Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Digital Twin technologies
• Cybersecurity challenges in digital manufacturing
• Protection against design theft and counterfeiting
• Scalable and secure implementation strategies for Industry 4.0

The event aims to provide practical insights into secure and intelligent manufacturing systems while strengthening collaboration among industry, academia, R&D institutions, and the defence sector.
